Prabhat

This Devanagari typeface reinterprets the shirorekha through dynamic OpenType features—using contextual alternates to shift between straight and inclined headline forms. Drawing from the tactile character of Indian wood type, it’s designed as a three-layer colour font with four weights, allowing stacked colour, texture, and depth. Still a work in progress, the project pushes glyph construction and OpenType possibilities to bring a fresh, expressive rhythm to contemporary Devanagari.
